UAB Idiomes offering more than 350 language courses!

by Chloe Bustin - Wednesday, November 23, 2011

UAB's extra-curricular language centre 'UAB Idiomes' is offering over 350 different language courses, including courses in Spanish, English, Italian, German, French, Catalan and Japanese.

The aim of 'UAB Idiomes' is to help improve people's communication skills in a foreign language, in an academic and vocational setting: from oral presentations, arguing an opinion to writing a CV or preparing for a job interview.

There are 3 types of courses on offer, depending on the pace at which you want to learn or the amount of flexibility you require:

  • Attendance-based: these are teacher-led courses that take place in classrooms at the centre.
  • Bi-modal: these are structured courses which combine assistance-based learning with distance learning. They are often known as blended learning courses.
  • E-learning: these courses take place through a virtual campus, using multimedia teaching materials for virtual and distance learning.

The courses are not just for students though. There is a wide range of courses available for all ages, including English courses for seniors that want to start learning a language for the first time or simply improve prior knowledge in a structured environment. There are also Spanish courses aimed at businesses, offering a course design tailored to the needs of each client. The teacher moves to the company and the courses are fully adapted to the times requested.

The applications are now open for all courses beginning in December.
