by Chloe Bustin - Tuesday, July 5, 2011

Today marks the final day of a series of projects for students at the University of Salamanca highlighting the importance of online marketing as an entrepreneurial tool in developing businesses.

The initiative is part of the scheme T-CUE run by Castilla y Leon´s autonomous government, which aims to enhance the levels of research in the region’s higher education establishments as well as creating links between its businesses and universities.

Students selected to take part in the project have received grants of €1,500 and free training on issues relating to entrepreneurship and technology related developments; aiding them in developing prototypes, creating companies and registering patents that can be sold to specific markets.

The university has announced that they are to give grants to 15 other student projects which will continue until September 2011, in faculties including science and industrial engineering.
