UNED Collaborate With MIT for Online Learning Platform

UNED (National University of Distant Education) has signed an agreement with CESV (Centro Superior para la Enseñanza Virtual), Telefonica Learning Services and Santander Bank for an online learning platform supported by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

With this big step, this collaboration makes it available for people to follow the latest developments or subjects they are eager to learn in an online platform which is very similar to MIT’s EDX. This platform is called UNX and one of the supporter is CESV which is a foundation to promote virtual learning.

This educational innovation is an important initiative, aiming to spread to the whole Spanish speaking Latin American community. The first edition, which will begin the next academic course, will be dedicated to teaching software program of mobile applications created by the MediaLab of MIT that is called App Inventor. This technological platform will complement itself with the entrepreneurial skills so that the students or graduates could promote their projects or developments at the end of the course.

The strategic links will be stronger than before in Spanish speaking countries, that lots of people will connect to each other as well as have an opinion or a word to say about their projects as a result thousands of people are expected to utilize the portal.
