Travel Around the Wonders of Spain

Spain is a country rich in art, has passionate people and full of historic heritage. Now everyone can take a walk and breath the air of Spanish culture.

At first stage, this can happen virtually at the moment but it is a start. Google has started a new project called "World Wonders Project", turning culture into a space accessible to everyone and this project can be accepted as the extension of "Google Art Project ', which is a collaboration with 151 museums and institutions around the world now immersed in the world heritage sites. The internet giant enables every person on the planet can reach and see the World Heritage Sites through their computers. It is a great opportunity when you don’t have a chance to go and visit that places, revealing all the streets and the beauties of these cities.

Collecting 1100 photos and vídeos of 132 historical sites in 18 countries, the project also gives access to see 12 wonderful spots in Spain like the Historic City of Toledo, Old City of Salamanca, Old Town of Santiago de Compostela or Roman Walls of Lugo.

To enable users to enjoy an interactive view of these places, the creators have had the technology 'Street View' which the cameras have been used to get the 360° degree visual image.The company used seven cameras of 5 megapixels each, generating a total image with a resolution of 45 megapixels," adding that access to some of these places with 'Street View' have had to employ all of transportation, from bicycles or boats to snowmobiles. You can feel that you are in that city and wandering around Paseo de la Rosa in Toledo or having a drink in the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca.

There is no doubt that anyone who sees the monuments, buildings and senses the atmosphere of any Spanish city on this page, would definitely buy a ticket and want to see with his own eyes.
