Spanish indie rock legends Sr. Chinarro will mark the release of their eagerly anticipated new album with a performance tonight at the Universidad de Salamanca’s Teatro Juan del Enzina. The concert is part of the university’s eclectic cultural program drawn up by the Cultural Activities Service.
Sr. Chinarro, who have consistently been at the forefront of Spain’s independent music scene since their breakthrough in the early 1990s, will play a set showcasing songs from their new album entitled “Presidente”. Despite being around for some 20 years now, the group fronted by Antonio Luque shows no signs of slowing down and “Presidente” marks their 12th studio album coming three years after their 2008 release, "Ronroneando".
Upcoming events taking place at the Teatro Juan del Enzina during a busy November schedule include a number dance recitals and jazz concerts, highlighting the variety of cultural actvities on offer at Salamanca University. Tonight’s concert begins at 22.00 and tickets can be purchased at the university for €7.
