The Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Science at the Universidad Europea de Madrid has just announced the launch of the first sports management course in Spain. UEM, which has one of the country’s leading sports departments, hopes the course will broaden the horizons and future professional prospects of those studying at the university.
The business side of sport and leisure requires a new kind of professional, which is exactly what the qualification hopes to provide. It is ideal for anyone who has passions for both sports and management. UEM hopes to continue the success that the course has had in America and other countries in Europe, especially having received backing from a number of Spanish sporting organisations, including the famous football team Real Madrid. The course will also allow those studying it to spend time at universities abroad, such as Arizona State University in America, and the University of Liverpool in Great Britain.
