European University of Madrid and Tuenti collaborate to form a new masters program

The Spanish online social network Tuenti has signed an agreement with the European University of Madrid to create a new masters program in online journalism and social networks.

The agreement was signed between Zaryn Dentzel, the founder of Tuenti and Luis Calandra, the director of the Faculty of Science and Journalism in the University of Madrid.

The masters course will discuss the concept of journalism in the digital age. Some of the professionals who work for Tuenti will work alongside teaching staff from the European University of Madrid to deliver the program. Students may also have the chance to undertake work experience with Tuenti during the course of their masters.

The course will begin at the start of the next academic year, 2011 -2012.
