by Lindsay Cook - Thursday, January 20, 2011

The University of Alcalá has purchased buildings in Santiago, Chile. They will contain an office where potential students can ask questions and receive information about loans and the enrollment process. The buildings have been opened in collaboration with the Future Creating Foundation.

Alcalá University already has many Chilean students studying masters and PhDs. This initiative will boost the universities presence within Chile, and make it easier for Chilean students to study at the university.

The university already owns buildings in Mexico and has links with universities in Brazil. Fernando Galvan, the chancellor of the university hopes that the new buildings will provide a base from which the university can gain a stronger presence within Latin America.
